How to Find Tech Jobs Directly on Company Job Boards
Most tech companies post jobs on boards run on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby: how to spot one by its address, find any company's board, and why it's current.
Most tech companies post their jobs on a job board they run themselves, built on hiring software such as Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby. You can find it from the company’s careers page, from the address of any of its job links, or with a site: search, and because it is where each role is opened and closed, it is the most current record of what the company is hiring for. Of the 433 tech companies Tideline follows, 205 run their board on Greenhouse, 163 on Ashby and 65 on Lever (3 November 2026).
What a company job board is
Behind most tech companies’ careers pages sits an applicant tracking system, or ATS: software the company uses to publish jobs, receive applications and manage hiring. Lever, one of the three, describes itself to job seekers as a platform that helps companies manage their hiring process, says plainly that it is not a job board, and tells applicants to contact the employer directly about an application.
Each ATS gives its customers a public job board: a page listing the company’s open roles, with a page for each role and an apply form. When a recruiter opens a role, it appears there; when they close it, it disappears. Everything else you see about that role, on job sites, social posts or aggregators, is a copy made from it, and a copy is only as current as its last refresh.
Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby: who uses which
| System | Companies Tideline follows | Open roles at those companies | Job board address |
|---|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse | 205 | 17,540 | job-boards.greenhouse.io/company |
| Ashby | 163 | 6,419 | jobs.ashbyhq.com/company |
| Lever | 65 | 2,310 | jobs.lever.co/company (jobs.eu.lever.co in Europe) |
Greenhouse is the most common among the companies Tideline follows and carries two-thirds of their open roles. Ashby is second. Lever has fewer of these companies, and 3 of its 65 use its European address.
How to recognise a job board from its address
The address bar tells you which system a job lives on:
- Greenhouse:
job-boards.greenhouse.io, then the company’s board name and/jobs/with the job number. Greenhouse’s own help pages still give the older form,boards.greenhouse.io; on 3 November 2026 those older links forwarded tojob-boards.greenhouse.io. - Greenhouse on the company’s own site: a careers address ending in
?gh_jid=and a number. Greenhouse addsgh_jidwhen a company shows its Greenhouse jobs on its own website, so the job number tells you the hiring runs on Greenhouse even though you never left the company’s site. - Lever:
jobs.lever.co, then the company’s name and a long code. Lever’s European customers usejobs.eu.lever.co. - Ashby:
jobs.ashbyhq.com, then the company’s name and a long code. A company that shows its Ashby jobs on its own website usesashby_jidin the address instead.
Plenty of companies take the second route. When Tideline opened the Greenhouse board address of each of its 205 Greenhouse companies on 3 November 2026, 191 answered, and 65 of those forwarded to the company’s own careers site, among them Stripe, Airbnb, Cloudflare, Figma and Pinterest. Across those companies’ open roles, 9,218 of 17,540 job links point to the company’s own website rather than to greenhouse.io. The jobs underneath are the same Greenhouse jobs, shown in the company’s own design.
Why the company’s own board is the most current source
A role exists on the company’s board first and disappears from it first. A job site or aggregator that copies it refreshes on its own schedule, and a copy may not carry the whole posting. Three things are worth checking on the company’s own page before you put time into an application:
- The role is still there. If it has gone from the company’s board, it is closed, wherever else it still appears.
- Where you can work from. Look for the location, “remote” with a country, or an eligibility line such as “must be based in”.
- The pay range, if there is one. Many companies publish it on the posting itself.
How to find any company’s job board
- The careers link. Most company websites have Careers or Jobs in the footer or the main menu. That page either is the job board or links to it.
- Any job link. If you already have a link to one of the company’s jobs, from a job site, a friend or a social post, open it and read the address. The patterns above tell you where its board is.
- A site: search. Google’s site: operator limits results to one address, so
site:jobs.lever.co acmeorsite:jobs.ashbyhq.com acmefinds a company’s Lever or Ashby board. The same works withjob-boards.greenhouse.io. - Guessing the address, with care. The board name is usually the company’s name, but not always: 81 of the 433 companies Tideline follows use a board name that differs from it, such as
atariincfor Atari orada18for Ada. - Searching Tideline. Tideline’s search finds roles at all 433 companies by keyword, field, country, remote work and pay, and each role links to the company’s own page.
LinkedIn, SEEK and company job boards
Job sites such as LinkedIn, or SEEK in Australia, are useful for discovering companies you hadn’t thought of, including employers that don’t use the systems described here. LinkedIn’s help centre, for example, explains that a job on LinkedIn shows either Easy Apply, which you complete on LinkedIn, or Apply, which sends you to the company’s website or job board to continue; which one you see depends on the employer.
So the practical habit is simple: when a listing anywhere sends you to the company’s own page, that page is the one this article describes, and it is the one to check before you apply. Tideline makes no claim that applying in one place gives you a better chance than another; the point is to apply to roles that are still open, with the full posting in front of you.
How Tideline puts company job boards in one place
Tideline reads the public job boards of 433 tech companies on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby every day and puts their roles in one search, with the field, places, remote status and posted pay read from each posting. Each role links back to the employer’s own page, where you apply.
It is not a full picture of the job market. Companies that use other hiring software, or build their own, are not in it, and Tideline records when it first saw a role, not when the employer posted it. For the bigger picture of where these companies are hiring, see Remote IT Jobs: Companies Hiring Remotely Right Now, Tech Companies Hiring in London Right Now and IT Jobs in Australia.
Tideline is independent and is not affiliated with any company or job platform mentioned here. Company names are used only to identify where roles are open.
Before you apply
The same applicant tracking systems that host these boards receive your application and read your resume. Readback shows your resume the way that kind of software reads it, before a person does.

How this data was collected
The counts come from Tideline’s data on 3 November 2026: the 433 companies it follows, which system each one’s board runs on, and the 26,269 roles open at 429 of them that morning. The forwarding check opened each Greenhouse board address once on 3 November; 14 of the 205 did not answer that check (the board refused or limited the request), so they are left out of the “65 of 191”. The job-link count reads the address of each open role as the company’s board gives it. Facts about each system’s addresses and parameters come from the companies’ own documentation, listed under Sources.
Common questions
- What is a company job board?
- It is the list of open roles a company publishes itself, usually on its careers page, run on hiring software such as Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby. Each role is created, edited and closed there by the company, and applications to it go into the company's own hiring system.
- How do I find a company's careers page or job board?
- Look for a Careers or Jobs link on the company's website, usually in the footer. If you have a link to one of its jobs, the address shows which system it uses. You can also search Google with the site: operator, for example site:jobs.lever.co plus the company's name, or search Tideline by company name.
- What are Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby?
- They are hiring software, often called applicant tracking systems. Companies use them to publish jobs, receive applications and manage hiring. Each one hosts job boards for its customer companies, at job-boards.greenhouse.io, jobs.lever.co and jobs.ashbyhq.com.
- What does gh_jid mean in a job link?
- It is the job number Greenhouse adds when a company shows its Greenhouse jobs on its own website, as in example.com/jobs?gh_jid=123. It tells you the company's hiring runs on Greenhouse, even though you never left its site. Ashby's equivalent is ashby_jid.
- Should I apply on LinkedIn or on the company's website?
- Apply where the job's own listing tells you to. LinkedIn's help centre says a job shows either Easy Apply, which you complete on LinkedIn, or Apply, which sends you to the company's website or job board; which one you see depends on the employer. Either way, the company's own board is where you can check that the role is still open.
- Does Tideline cover every company's job board?
- No. On 3 November 2026 it followed 433 tech companies whose boards run on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby, and read each of them every day. Companies on other hiring software, or with their own systems, are not included.
